Entry #1. Lifting is Life.
Lifting is life
Blog entry #1
A couple years ago I would down talk on lifting weights, I thought it was pointless. Then I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes? I was in shape though, I played soccer consistently. One day I decided to just get a membership with my dad. Lifting weights is scientifically proven to be one of the hearts healthiest activities; you should also start weight training. Lifting weights can be the singular hobby to save your health, and guarantee longevity.
When you do something over a span of time voluntarily it becomes a habit and rooted into your life. I started with three days a week, some days dragging myself in their but i'd make it, then before I knew it I had a gym routine going. This study states, "A 2010 study followed volunteers trying to build simple routines – such as drinking water after breakfast or eating a daily piece of fruit – and found it took a median of 66 days for the behaviour to become automatic."How long does it take? When I took into account how short of a time it really takes to create this habit, it was a no brainer. Imagine yourself in 25 years, as long as you keep lifting to some degree you'll continue to feel like today.
Do you want to live a fulfilling and active life? I sure do. Lifting is just one hobby that can maintain your brain and body. Making sure you keep your diet somewhat clean is also just as important, But live YOUR life please. We only get one. To sum up, lifting is my favorite hobby amongst all, it saved my health. Body and mind, youd be surprised how much better you feel mentally after a great workout.

I really appreciate how honest and direct this is. The fact that you used to downplay lifting and then had a complete shift in perspective after your diagnosis makes your message a lot more powerful. It does not feel preachy, it feels lived-in. That kind of personal transformation makes readers more likely to actually consider what you’re saying.
