 Entry #5 Mayhem Hero Analysis  The Allstate "Mayhem Hero" advertisement uses character-induced storytelling, humor, and extremely exaggerated scenes in order to persuade the audience to rely on Allstate for their insurance needs. The recurring character narrates the whole ad and highlights how accidents are unexpected, thus reassuring the audience that they feel a need to purchase their insurance.  Click for video. Pathos is one of the most prominent rhetorical strategies used in this ad. They combine a funny aspect with anxiety-driven scenes. The mayhem scenes are entertaining and funny but emphasize the importance of good insurance like Allstate. This mix keeps the intended audience engaged without pressure. Entry #4, Introvert turned extrovert

 Introvert turned extrovert Entry #4 Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert? All my life I've been easygoing to talk to or even hang around. As soon as people I don't know personally come around, I seem to put up this shield and isolate. I don't feel panic or anxiety around them; I simply just don't feel comfortable around them. Although I don't believe an introvert can turn into an extrovert, there are some strategies that I can practice. Thus, strengthening my people skills.  A lot of the population deeply confuses being introverted versus being shy. The key difference is when you are introverted and hang out with others, you feel drained. On the other hand, being shy, you simply feel anxiety or even sort of scared. For example, "Try looking at your lifestyle as a whole. Reducing social contact in one area can help you to crave it in another".  Frozen Sensations Blog Entry #3     When you reach in your back pocket for that metal box, and it makes that clanking noise. We know exactly why you brought it out. You're getting ready to go up to that girl you found super cute. Unfortunately you also just ate pizza and garlic sauce with your boys. Your night would have been completely ruined if you decided to approach her and got not even a hello back. Lets avoid that at all costs.
